HSBC website and app down as furious customers tell bank to ‘sort it out’

Furious customers have told HSBC to "sort it out" after the bank's website and app experienced difficulties.

On Twitter, people vented their fury at not being able to access its services.

First Direct's website is also down.

One told HSBC: "Your website is down. Zero communication. That's poor."

Another told the bank: "Hi team, is your mobile app or website down? Cannot access anything."

First Direct wrote on Twitter: "Our Online and Mobile Banking services are currently unavailable.

"We're really sorry and are working hard to fix this."

HSBC said on Twitter: "We're aware some customers are having problems using Online & Mobile Banking.

"We're really sorry and are working hard to fix this.

"Please check back here for the latest updates."
