Horror as missing man found inside python as massive snake eats him whole

Villagers made a horrifying discovery after slicing up an enormous seven-meter python – only to find their missing friend dead inside the huge snake.

Akbar Salubiro left home for his job harvesting palm oil in the remote region of West Sulawesi, Indonesia on March 25, 2017.

But the 25-year-old vanished into thin air, triggering a manhunt that saw the giant python discovered and stuffed to the brim in his own back garden the following night.

One villager, surrounded by a large crowd, used a huge hunting knife with an 18-inch blade to slice open the snake.

But to their absolute horror, the lifeless and fully clothed body of Akbar was discovered inside.

He was dragged out of the seven-metre python even with him still wearing the boots he put on a day earlier for a day of work.

One stunned villager said at the time: “This probably attacked from behind.

Akbar’s wife only found out about the devastating circumstances behind her husband’s death when pictures and video emerged in the news, according to local reports.

Village secretary Salubiro Junaidi said: “People had heard cries from the palm grove the night before Akbar was found in the snake’s stomach.

“When the snake was captured, the boots Akbar was wearing were clearly visible in the stomach of the snake.

“Resident cut open the belly of the snake and Akbar was lifeless.”

Akbar’s neighbor Satriawan also said: “He was found in the location of the garden.

“Initially Akbar set out from his home to go to harvest palm, after not returning to his home people looked for him.”

A spokesperson for the police in West Sulawesi province told BBC Indonesia: “The villagers saw an unmoving python in the ditch.

“They grew suspicious that maybe the snake had Akbar. When they cut it open, Akbar was inside the snake.”
