A street beggar was shot dead after asking for just 20p, distressing footage has shown.

The sickening clip – broadcast on Brazilian TV – shows 31-year-old Zilda Henrique dos Santos Leandro approaching a man on the other side of a street.

She starts following him and appears to ask for money but he seems to say no.

He then takes out a gun from his trousers and shoots Zilda at point-blank range.

The man seemingly shows no remorse and casually walks off, leaving his victim sprawled out in the middle of a street.
