Holly Willoughby and Dan Baldwin’s (pictured leaving the Ivy on Wednesday) plans to revamp her £3million London home by converting the garage into a one-bedroom studio flat have been given the green light by council bosses
On Tuesday, the local authority approved the 38-year-old ITV host’s proposals to add a second storey on the brick garage at the end of her garden.
Architect Brian O’Reilly, who drew up the plans, said: ‘Currently the existing building consists of a small garage and poorly lit adjoining room.
‘We propose to transform the existing building, providing functional, naturally lit accommodation for a live-in au pair.’
‘The existing structure would be maximised through the addition of a second floor, largely hidden behind the existing parapet walls. ‘
The new studio will have an en-suite bathroom and benefit from natural light from three dormer windows.
The architect emphasises that the windows will look towards the main house and not into any neighbouring gardens.

Willoughby’s so-far smooth application process comes three years after cross neighbours rallied to block potential extension works.
One of those who objected Julie Halstead, wrote: ‘As my home looks directly into the tower – a two-storey extension would mean that I will be much more overlooked with loss of privacy.’
And the I’m A Celebrity star’s frosty relationship with the street climaxed in neighbours accusing her and Mr Baldwin of ‘keeping the neighbourhood up with drunken behaviour’, in an anonymous letter delivered to the their home.
Mr Baldwin, 44, reacted angrily by emailing 50 neighbours, many of whom the couple had never met, seeking help in tracking down the letter-writer.
He denied creating any such noise, saying he and Miss Willoughby were watching Nashville – a US drama set in the world of country music – and that they wanted ‘an explanation’ from their critic.
And to assist their hunt, Mr Baldwin attached two images of the woman who delivered the letter, obtained from the CCTV cameras bristling from his luxury home.
The couple has three children – Harry, Belle, and Chester.
