Peel Regional Police say a male pedestrian is in critical condition after being struck by a car that failed to remain at the scene in Brampton.

Officers responded at around 4:30 a.m. to the intersection of Clark Boulevard and West Drive, southwest of Queen Street East and Dixie Road.

The victim was struck by a vehicle and transported to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

Investigators said the vehicle did not stay at the scene after the collision.

There’s currently no information on the suspect vehicle or driver.
