Heartbroken mum shares harrowing moment bully pins daughter, 12, to the floor and attacks her as cackling school pals look on

A HEARTBROKEN mum has shared the harrowing moment a bully appears to pin her 12-year-old girl to the floor and attack her as a group of cackling school friends look on.

Sophie Baker claims her daughter had to have her arm in a sling for a fortnight after she was set upon while walking home from school.

Distressing footage appears to show a Year 7 pupil at Walton Academy School in Lincs being repeatedly teased, shoved and hit by a single perpetrator.

While a gang of laughing peers circle them, a girl is seen pushing another student to the ground before putting her in a headlock and slapping her.

The grim clip also appears to show the aggressor walking way, before repeatedly returning, on one occasion pulling the other girl's pony tail sharply.

Apparently in fits of hysteria, her friends are heard shouting "f***ing have her" as they look on without anyone coming to the alleged victim's aid.

I saw her and she was a mess. She was crying. Her hair was all pulled out, she was holding onto her wrist and hobbling. She was shaking

MUM'S HORROR

Sophie, 37, said she burst into tears when she discovered the footage had been circulated online.

She says her daughter Naomi's head "came off the ground like a bouncing ball" and it was "too upsetting" to show her the clip.

Sophie and partner Paul Bellamy, 49, have reported the incident to the police and shared the video to help people "realise the lasting impact" that bullying has.

The attack comes after The Sun Online launched its Block The Bullying campaign with the NSPCC to stamp out videos of children being attacked.

Sophie, who says she was bullied as a child, said her "mother's instinct" kicked in the moment her daughter rang her on March 26.

'HOBBLING AND SHAKING'

"I panicked and headed out to meet her," explained the mum-of-four.

"I saw her and she was a mess. She was crying. Her hair was all pulled out, she was holding onto her wrist and hobbling. She was shaking.

"It was horrible. I felt helpless because I hadn't been there. I took her to the hospital and we were there for six hours."

Sophie claimed Naomi had suffered tissue damage to her wrist and ankle as a result of the alleged incident.

She also said the other girl had been "taking her food at school" from her pre-pay card before the claimed attack.

'FORCED TO MOVE SCHOOLS'

Sophie, from Grantham, Lincolnshire, said her daughter had to have a CT scan for tissue damage and was taken to hospital after fainting due to stress and anxiety.

"It’s really knocked her," she said.

"The school put the girl in isolation for a day but I don't think that's enough. I think she should be expelled."

Will Teece, head of school at Walton Academy, said: "Whilst I cannot comment on the detail, I do wish to reassure our community that the matter has been taken very seriously.

"In line with our behaviour policy, we have investigated the allegation, and appropriate, firm action has been taken, including working closely with the police.

"Our expectations for behaviour are very clear and are supported by robust systems and sanctions.

'The actions of a small number of individuals have shocked us and are not representative of our academy as a whole.

"Where issues arise we would always be prepared to work closely with parents and the community to resolve them in a swift and appropriate manner."
