Harry to be met with ‘wall of ice’ from royals on UK return, author claims

Prince Harry is likely to meet with a "wall of ice" if he is to return to the UK for the unveiling of the Princess Diana statue on what would have been her 60th birthday, a royal author suggested.

The Duke of Sussex had been expected to come back for the special event on July 1, which would see him reunite with his brother Prince William.

The brothers have had frosty relations since Harry moved to the US and they might have reached a "potentially terminal" point after the Oprah interview, one expert said.

Discussing the topic on TalkRadio, host Patrick Christys said: "They were going to unveil this statue in honour of Princess Diana on July 1st at Kensington Palace, but apparently now Harry is not going to come back for that."

Lady C, who who was married to Lord Colin Ivar Campbell, said she doesn't think Harry would come back but it would be a "wise move" if he does.

She said: "It would be a wise move on his part if he did not come back for it, but it would be an even wiser move on his part if he came back and displayed some element of regret for his previous claims and behaviour."

She added: "He knows that if he comes back he will be met with a wall of ice, not only by the family but by everybody connected to the family and the British public."

Harry turned up in the charity event of Vax Live concert on Sunday (May 2) for the first time after he attended his late grandfather Prince Philip's funeral.

Despite going alone without wife Meghan Markle, Harry received an incredible standing ovation from the crowd.
