Ghislaine Maxwell’s ‘husband’ Scott Borgerson has been seen for the first time since Maxwell was charged in connection to Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking ring, exclusive DailyMail.com photos show.

The British socialite cried when she learned last week that she would be held without bail at a New York prison until her trial next year, as a prosecutor dropped the bombshell that the 58-year-old was married.

Borgerson, 44, was seen on Tuesday looking glum, as DailyMail.com can reveal he is taking care of Maxwell’s dog while she’s in prison.

The wealthy tech CEO hung his head while sitting on his patio in Manchester-by-the-Sea, with Maxwell’s medium-sized pet running around him.

Borgerson had once shared the stately Massachusetts home with Maxwell, buying it together in 2016. The brazen socialite even gave tours of the lavishly decorated mansion to her none-the-wiser neighbors.

But when DailyMail.com tracked down the lovers – possibly husband and wife – and revealed their relationship last summer, neighbors were ‘disgusted’ that an accused sex trafficker was living among them and tried to push her into leaving town.

Law enforcement sources admitted that Maxwell might not have ever been caught on July 2 in Bradford, New Hampshire if she first wasn’t discovered in the well-to-do town outside of Boston by this website’s investigative team.

Borgerson is believed to have met Maxwell six years ago through speaking engagements connected to ocean preservation, a subject on which they share a passion. ‘When that piece was published all hell was let loose in Manchester,’ said one town resident who has close ties to law enforcement. ‘Police here had no idea she was living there until then.’

On Tuesday afternoon, Borgerson was seen with his ex-wife Rebecca and their two children, a boy aged 11 and a nine-year-old girl, at his colonial home.

His head hung low with his hands in his lap, and he didn’t join his family when his ex took the children down to play in the water.

Maxwell and Borgerson, who both share a passion for ocean conservation, first met  at the Arctic Circle Assembly in Reykjavik, Iceland, in 2014, shortly before he and his wife divorced.

Maxwell maintained a residence at her 7,000 sq. ft., five-story Beaux Arts-style townhouse on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, but as interest in Epstein’s story grew and the spotlight turned to her, she sold it in April 2016 for a little over $15 million and disappeared. She had originally bought it in 2015 for $16.9 million.

Less than two months later, it has now been revealed, she used the name Jennifer Ellmax to join Borgerson in a limited liability company called Tidewood.

That company bought the Manchester-by-the-Sea home – the Phippin House –  for a little more than $2 million.

It cannot be seen from the road and the couple installed security cameras so they would know if anyone was on their property, which overlooks the ocean on the spectacular 40-acre Sharksmouth Estate in Manchester.

Even a court case brought against Maxwell and Borgerson last year failed to alert authorities to her location.

As DailyMail.com revealed exclusively last week, a trust that owns land all around the Phippin House took the pair to court in a bid to prevent them from using the trust’s land. The trust took the action after discovering Maxwell’s past and the accusations that she procured girls, some as young as 14, for Epstein’s perverted pleasure

DailyMail.com has uncovered a never-before-seen photo that could prove Ghislaine Maxwell is lying about ending her friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.

Lawyers for the socialite-turned-alleged-madam insist that Maxwell had nothing to do with Epstein — who died in prison in August last year — for at least the last 11 years of his life.

But DailyMail.com has exclusively uncovered a photograph of a mysterious box labeled ‘Mr. Jeffrey Epstein’ being delivered to her apartment just over five years ago.

The picture, unseen until now, was taken on January 6, 2015 as a DHL delivery truck was unloading parcels at Maxwell’s Manhattan townhouse, just seven city blocks from the huge home where Epstein lived and abused dozens of young girls.

In court last week lawyers for Maxwell insisted she had no contact with the convicted child molester ‘for more than a decade’ after he was released from his initial prison sentence in 2008.

They filed papers that unsuccessfully said she should be allowed $5 million bail while she awaits trial on charges relating to the procurement of young girls for Epstein and perjury.

They wanted her to stay in a luxury hotel, be subject to GPS monitoring and said she would surrender her three passports, one British, one American and one French.

‘On August 10, 2019, Epstein died in federal custody, and the media focus quickly shifted to our client — wrongly trying to substitute her for Epstein — even though she’d had no contact with Epstein for more than a decade,’ her attorneys, Mark Cohen and Jeffrey Pagliuca, wrote to the court.

The attorneys did not respond to questions about the picture.

As DailyMail.com revealed exclusively last week, a trust that owns the land all around the Phippin House took the pair to court in a bid to prevent them from using the trust’s land.

The trust took the action after discovering Maxwell’s past and the accusations that she procured girls, some as young as 14, for Epstein’s perverted pleasure.

The second the trustees learned Maxwell was involved with Epstein, they decided ‘to try to limit how much they could use the land,’ one local said.

But Judge Howard Speicher ruled against the trust on all counts when he delivered his judgment in March.

Maxwell is believed to have moved into the Manchester home almost immediately after it was bought in 2016, taking valuable artwork from her Manhattan home.

‘She had one painting of a pig that she said was worth millions,’ a local resident told DailyMail.com. ‘She kept telling the movers: ‘Be careful with that, it’s worth $3 million.’

She went by the name G-Max, never letting on her real identity. ‘She and Scott came in my shop with another man and just looked around,’ said Tom Lang, who runs a high-end antiques store in neighboring Essex, Massachusetts.

‘I asked her her name and I guess she said ”G” in a very high-class British accent. I didn’t really understand what she was saying — it sounded more like ”Zhee” — but I didn’t want to ask a second time.’

Despite his wealth, Borgerson did not move in Manchester’s high society circles, preferring to mix with more down-to-earth locals. He and his ex-wife Rebecca sent their two children, a boy now aged 11 and a nine-year-old girl, to public school in a nearby town.

‘My take on that is that he knew the millionaires around here would ask too many questions,’ said Carl McKay-Stratton, a local who describes himself as a philanthropist. ‘But the regular folk were just in awe of his wealth.’

One woman who went with her child to a birthday party for Borgerson’s son in 2018 said she was ‘just blown away’ by the way the couple had decorated The Phippin House.

‘Half of it was old, classic New England style and the other half was ultra-modern,’ said the mom, who asked not to be identified to protect her children.

‘The landscaping was the most beautiful I have ever seen anywhere,’ she added. ‘It really was the lap of luxury.’

The woman said Borgerson and Maxwell were very proud of their home and organized little tours for the guests. ‘G-Max was the one who introduced it as her house. I remember her office was on the second floor,’ she said.

‘There were photos of them all over the house, including one of her as a helicopter pilot. She just seemed like a very accomplished person. I didn’t know who she was at the time and there was nothing to raise any red flags.’

What the woman did not know was that Epstein had paid for Maxwell to get her pilot’s license and then bought her a $4 million Sikorsky chopper allegedly so she could ferry young girls to Little St. James, his private island in the US Virgins.

McKay-Stratton said the only thing people on Cape Ann — which encompasses Rockport, Gloucester, Manchester and Essex — found abnormal was the age difference between Borgerson and Maxwell; she is 14 years older than him.

‘It just didn’t make sense. Why would he divorce his wife to be with her? In the looks department at least, he definitely traded down,’ she said.

‘My experience is that when one partner is several years younger than the other it is normally for the money — and that’s what was generally thought around here.’

Prosecutor Alison Moe claimed in court that Maxwell has a spouse whom she had refused to identify to the FBI. No marriage license has so far been found.

‘If she was married, I can’t think it would be to anyone other than Scott Borgerson,’ said McKay-Stratton. ‘They certainly lived together as man and wife for several years.’

Borgerson did not respond to emails requesting comment.

After Epstein’s arrest and death last August, Maxwell disappeared from Manchester. The FBI arrested her in a July 2 raid on Tuckedaway, the home she bought in December for just over $1 million.

Records revealed the home was purchased by a company that has ties to Borgerson.

The buyer is listed as Granite Reality LLC – a mysterious corporation that was set up just weeks prior the purchase.

Granite Reality LLC is managed by Boston lawyer, Jeffrey W. Roberts, who is also the registered agent of a second company, Hopely Yealton. The manager of Hopely Yealton is listed as Borgerson.

Prosecutor Alison Moe said when Maxwell bought her $1 million Bradford, New Hampshire home (pictured), she toured the home back in November of 2019 using the alias of Janet Marshall and claimed to the real estate agent that she worked as a journalist. The man she was there with gave his name as Scott Marshall

In April 2019, Boregerson’s LLC Tidewood took the three trustees, John Appel, Kathrine Rive and Curtis Hollingsworth, to an obscure judicial branch — the Massachusetts Land Court — where Borgerson successfully argued that the privileges allowed the Barkers were transferable, court papers uncovered exclusively by DailyMail.com show (pictured)

Maria Farmer (pictured), the first woman to allege sexual abuse by Epstein, told Australian 60 Minutes that Maxwell would bring girls so young they still had braces on their teeth to Epstein’s mansion. Farmer said she had occasionally been in the car with Maxwell when she went looking for girls

Previous owner of the Bradford home, Richard Yospin told DailyMail.com he never met the buyers of his house. ‘That’s the way they wanted the sale and that’s the way they got it,’ he said.

Yospin said that at the closing they were represented by a property manager who had a distinct English accent. ‘But I couldn’t identify him if my life depended on it — which fortunately it does not,’ he said.

The buyers identified themselves as a couple called the Marshalls — he was either Steve or Scott and she said she was a journalist named Janet or Jen, Maxwell’s real estate agent Jennifer Johnson told the FBI. Johnson said she didn’t realize her client’s true identity until Ghislaine was arrested.

Johnson declined to talk to DailyMail.com about Maxwell. ‘My job is very personal,’ she stormed. ‘Why would anyone want to know?

She then repeatedly said: ‘This is New Hampshire. We respect our privacy here.’

Meanwhile more details of Maxwell’s alleged role in procuring girls has been revealed.

Maria Farmer, the first woman to allege sexual abuse by Epstein, told Australian 60 Minutes that Maxwell would bring girls so young they still had braces on their teeth to Epstein’s mansion.

‘As school was getting out she’s like ‘I’ve gotta get the nubiles. I’m going to get the nubiles,’ said Farmer.

‘When I asked her what she meant by that, she said she needed models for Victoria’s Secret,’ part of The Limited Corporation, the company run by financier Epstein’s main client, Leslie Wexner.

‘One time I asked ‘why are they so young? And she said the Limited Corporation has a lot of companies and these girls model and they start young. I thought it strange because I did see a couple of girls in braces — and I have never seen a model with braces.

‘All of them were completely flat-chested and sometimes they would be wearing a (school) uniform being marched upstairs. One day a girl came down crying and I asked Ghislaine ‘Why is she crying?’ and she said: ‘She didn’t get the job. She needs to toughen up.’

Farmer said she had occasionally been in the car with Maxwell when she went looking for girls.

‘She would ask the driver to stop the car,’ said Farmer. ‘He would stop it immediately and she would dash across to the school or the park or wherever she was going and she would write down her phone number — for a child, a young girl — and she’d get their phone number. And then I’d see that child at the house.’
