Gambino the cat’s meow ‘with southern accent’ becomes internet sensation

A cat has been caught on camera appearing to have a "thick southern accent" in a viral clip.

The short clip was posted to Instagram on Tuesday capturing the ginger cat, named Gambino, meowing.

It starts with the cat scampering into the kitchen of its home with its owner following behind.

Upon turning the corner the cat appears to say the most warming greeting.

Gambino's meow sounds like he's saying "Well, hi," and appears to be delivered in a deep southern American accent.

The cat was initially a stray before being welcomed into the loving home in December 2014.
