Furious Queen 'won't respond to Meghan Markle & Prince Harry's latest grievances in public', says expert

THE Queen will not respond to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's latest grievances in public, a royal expert claimed today.

Instead, "whatever is bothering the Sussexes" will be handled in private following Meghan and Harry's savage swipe at the 95-year-old monarch, commentator Victoria Arbiter said.

Last night, the couple reignited their feud with the Royals amid reports they are not impressed with the way the Palace dealt with their explosive allegations on Oprah.

They believe Her Majesty did not take "full ownership" of the issues raised and "little" has been done since, according to People.

Arbiter told Good Morning Britain: "These matters will be dealt with privately […] she's not going to address whatever is bothering the Sussexes in a public forum."

It comes as…

  • ‘Thriving’ Prince Harry and Meghan Markle about to ‘increase their visibility’ after ‘keeping toxicity away’
  • Meghan Markle and Prince Harry slammed for not naming UK charities in Afghan post – including his own

The Queen issued one official statement statement 36 hours after Meghan and Harry's tell-all Oprah interview in March.

In it, she said she was "saddened by the claims" but that "some recollections may vary".

All other issues were was handled privately by the Palace.

Meghan, 40, and Harry, 36, reeled off a whole host of claims in the chat, including Meghan's allegation that Archie wasn't made a prince after "concerns and conversations" about "how dark" his skin would.

And she revealed she was left feeling suicidal after joining the Royal Family.

In a new chapter of Finding Freedom featured in People yesterday, authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand say the Queen's "recollections may vary" comment "did not go unnoticed".

They write: "The Queen’s 'recollections may vary' comment 'did not go unnoticed by the couple, who a close source said were ‘not surprised’ that full ownership was not taken.

"'Months later and little accountability has been taken’, a pal of Meghan added. ‘How can you move forward with that?'"

The Palace has not issued any update on the matter beyond its initial statement.

They said at the time: "The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years  have been for Harry and Meghan.

"The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning.

"Whilst some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.

"Harry, Meghan  and Archie will always be much loved family members."

Meghan and Harry are living in the US with their son Archie and baby daughter Lilibet who they welcomed back in June.

Omid Scobie today revealed that the "thriving" couple are "really excited" about the busy schedule ahead following the end of their parental leave.

And he confirmed the pair will return to public life after "keeping toxicity away".

"They're a couple who do very well in those moments of human interaction. They need to be on the ground," the author told PEOPLE.

"They say that the proof is in the pudding, and what we are about to see is that pudding."

Although one of the main reasons for leaving the Royal Famly was to get some privacy and to get away from the prying eyes of the public, Meghan and Harry are jumping back into it – just one year later.

"They seem to be existing in a different place, and that place is much healthier," Scobie told People.

"Meghan famously spoke about that it was not enough to survive — we are now in the thrive chapter."
