‘Friendly’ elderly couple found dead together at home as murder probe launched

A murder probe has been launched after the remains of an elderly couple were at a house in Manchester.
The couple, named locally and Denis and Lynda Cooper, were found dead inside their home in Stockport.
One neighbour said: “They were a very nice, friendly couple.”
Police said they were called last night, Tuesday, following “concern for the occupants”.
Cops broke into the house and found the bodies.
Neighbours have named them as 69-year-old Denis and 72-year-old Lydia Cooper, Manchester Evening News reports.
