Footage of murder victim last seen more than 25 years ago rereleased as police revive hunt for killer

FOOTAGE of a murder victim last seen more than 25 years ago has been rereleased as police revive their hunt for his killer.

The clip shows Steven Clark in a training video from the early 1990s.

His distinctive walk, the result of a childhood injury, can be seen and he can be heard speaking.

Police hope releasing it again 28 years to the day since Steven disappeared will jog memories.

Det Chief Insp Shaun Page said: “The response so far has been fantastic but I would urge others to come forward.”

'I URGE OTHERS TO COME FORWARD'

Steven, then 23, went missing on December 28, 1992, after walking from Marske-by-the-Sea, Cleveland, to the beach at Saltburn.

He stopped to use the toilets near the pier and was never seen again.

Following a cold case review, police are treating his disappearance as murder but no body has been found.

In September, they arrested his elderly parents and searched their home.

They vehemently deny any wrongdoing. The clip was last seen in 1993.

Mr Page said: “This year, the bank holiday falls in the same way as it did the year that Steven went missing and many beachgoers will walk around Saltburn as they did then.”
