Cops in Florida arrived at a home to investigate after receiving reports of a woman screaming – only to find the neighbor had mistaken the noise for a parrot talking.

The silly moment happened outside a couple’s home in Lake Worth Beach while the husband was fixing his wife’s car just before New Year’s Eve.

Home security footage shows the husband calmly shifting through his tool box as Rambo moans ‘help’ and ‘let me out!’

‘I was changing the brakes on my wife’s car and had my 40-year-old parrot, Rambo, on his outside perch where he sings and talks,’ the unidentified man told ViralHog.

A Florida man was fixing his wife’s car outside their Lake Worth Beach home when his 40-year-old parrot began to scream ‘help’ and ‘let me out!’

Just two minutes later sheriff’s deputies arrive at the couple’s home, making the man jump in surprise and quickly turn around to face the trio.

The deputies inform the man that a nearby neighbor reported hearing a woman’s desperate screams from inside the home.

‘Sometime later four police officers showed up saying a neighbor called because she heard a woman screaming for help,’ the husband said.

Four Florida deputies arrive to the home that morning in response to a neighbor’s report that a woman was screaming for help inside the couple’s home

The man later brings out Rambo (pictured) and explains that his lifelong pet is a talking parrot who can utter phrases

With a knowing smirk, the man turns towards the house and calls the parrot’s name before leaving to ‘bring out the screamer’.

He revealed that Rambo’s startling yells are something he taught the bird as a child.

‘Sometimes Rambo yells “help, help, let me out”. Something I taught him when I was a kid and Rambo lived in a cage,’ the husband said.

The man quickly returns with Rambo resting on his hand as the deputies light up and laugh at the sight of the green bird.

The responding deputies and the concerned neighbor all had a laugh after meeting Rambo the talking parrot

‘Rambo, meet the boys in green,’ he says, before showing the group a men a few of the bird’s tricks.

‘I promptly introduced the officers to Rambo and we all had a good laugh,’ he wrote.

After the deputies left, the man took Rambo to meet the concerned neighbor to explain the incident.

‘Afterward, I also introduced Rambo to the neighbor who called in the screaming. She too had a good laugh,’ he said.
