Filipina wife who refused flight home and £10k is denied share of late husband’s £220k fortune in court battle – The Sun
A FILIPINA bride who turned down the offer of £10,000 and a flight home from her husband’s kids after he died has left court with nothing.
Rosita Hendry, 52, wed Michael Hendry, 20 years her senior, in 2003.
They lived in his £220,000 home in East Molesey, Surrey, but she claimed he became drunk and violent.
His two children said she drove him to drink by having an affair.
He had written her out of his will, leaving everything – including his home near Hampton Court Palace – to two of his children from a previous relationship.
Ms Hendry had begun divorce proceedings by the time he died aged 70 in 2017.
His kids offered her the cash and ticket which she had agreed in a pre-nup.
They later offered to split the will three ways.
Mrs Hendry wanted half, but did not lodge her claim until last year.

London’s High Court ruled she had missed a six-month time limit and would get nothing.
The judge said: "I give full weight to the fact that Rosita has an arguable case, albeit it not a strong one as contended for, and that the estate has not been distributed."
"However, I do not consider that Rosita acted promptly when the circumstances are fully analysed."
