Ferrari left with smashed windscreen after crash with Deliveroo driver

Deliveroo moped rider smashes windscreen of £300,000 Ferrari F430 as they are thrown onto bonnet of the 196mph supercar in south London crash

A Deliveroo rider was thrown onto the bonnet smashing the windscreen of a Ferrari F430 in London after a crash in south London. 

Police are investigating the smash which involved the moped and the black £300,000 Ferrari. 

Crash investigators closed the A2 Old Kent Road in Peckham for several hours after incident. 

The Ferrari lost its front headlights, bonnet and windscreen in the crash which happened at about 10pm last night. 

The crash left the moped rider – a woman in her 30s – and a man hospitalised but it is understood nobody was seriously injured.

The moped was flipped onto the bonnet of the Italian supercar and the rider smashed the windscreen during the collision which resulted in the A2 being closed for hours

Police are investigating the cause of last night’s collision. It is understood the rider and driver were both taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service for treatment

Police examined the scene of the crash in an effort to determine the cause of the incident 

The crash left the moped rider – a woman in her 30s – and a man hospitalised but it is understood nobody was seriously injured. 

The Metropolitan Police have confirmed they are investigating and that no arrests have been made at this stage.

A force spokesman said: ‘Police were called at 10.05pm on Tuesday, 14 July to reports of a collision at A2/Old Kent Road.

‘Police and London Ambulance Service  attended.

‘At the scene a Ferrari had been in collision with a motorcyclist. The driver stopped at the scene.

‘A woman, aged 30s, was taken to a central London hospital by LAS where her condition is not life threatening.

‘Cordons at the scene were lifted at 2.22am.

‘No arrests.’

The London Ambulance Service confirmed they were on scene within a minute and dispatched two ambulances to treat those involved.

They added that a man was treated at the scene and also taken to hospital. 

A Deliveroo Spokesman said: ‘We were very concerned to hear about this accident and are contacting the rider as a matter of urgency. The personal safety of riders is our absolute priority.’ 

The Ferrari F430  has a top speed of 315kmh or 196mph and is a popular supercar of choice for celebrities including music mogul Simon Cowell, reality TV star Kim Kardashian and Canadian pop star Justin Bieber.
