FBI hunt rapper Casanova who ‘belongs to Gorilla Stone gang that killed child’

The FBI is hunting the rapper Casanova, allegedly part of a gang that murdered a 15-year-old.

Casanova, real name Caswell Senior, is accused of being part of the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation Gang.

Its members committed “terrible acts” of violence, trafficked narcotics, and carried out fraud in New York city and the state, according to law enforcement officials.

Brandon Soto has been charged with murdering a teenager in the city of Poughkeepsie, New York State, back in September.

Robert Woods, another alleged gangster, “slashed” his victim in the face to “maintain and increase his position in the Gorilla Stone racketeering enterprise”, according to the US Attorney’s Office Southern District of New York.

Officials have arrested 17 Gorilla Stone members but are still seeking 34-year-old Casanova.

He has been indicted on charges of conspiracy to commit racketeering, conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Each of the members faces life behind bars except Shanay Outlaw, whose maximum sentence will be 20 years in prison.

The FBI New York’s Twitter account posted: “We are still looking for Caswell Senior, aka Casanova, in connection with this case.

“He has connections to both NY and NJ. If you have information about his whereabouts, please call us at 1-800-CALL-FBI.”

William F. Sweeney, Jr, the assistant director in charge of the FBI's New York Field Office, added: “As the indictment alleges, the violence and drug activity committed by these gang members threatened the safety of our communities and placed innocent lives at risk.

“Their unabashed criminal behaviour, as alleged, included the murder of a 15-year-old and even extended to defrauding programmes meant for people suffering economic hardship due to the pandemic.

“But thanks to the partnership and hard work of all law enforcement agencies involved in this investigation, we were able to stop this violent criminal organisation – and show that Gorilla Stone is actually not ‘untouchable’.”
