A FAMILY is offering their £300,000 house and £28,000 BMW in a £2 raffle after failing to sell up during the coronavirus pandemic.

The lucky winner will be handed keys to the Rowcroft family's five-bedroom, semi-detached property in Manchester.

The family-of-five are also throwing in their white BMW with blacked-out windows and plush new alloys in a bid to woo ticket buyers.

The 100-year-old property is a stone’s throw away from Manchester’s Media City and comes complete with a 800 sq ft garden and stunning new décor.

Mum-of-three Natalie Rowcroft, 33 is planning on moving her family to Australia.

She and husband Brad, 34 ,who works as a carpenter and children Bradley, 13, Aiden, 12, and Rhys, 7, have their tickets booked for October.

'DREAM' MOVE

But they were worried the move wouldn’t go ahead when they couldn’t sell their house due to the Covid-19 crisis.

Natalie came up with the idea after seeing another house being successfully raffled off by another British family making a move to Australia.

Teaching assistant Natalie said: “We’ve been dreaming of moving to Australia for ages.

“We had a couple of friends move over there a few years ago and we’ve seen the quality of life there and want the same for our family.

It’s a great way to help people get on the property ladder who wouldn’t be able to afford it otherwise

“We decided to make the big move this year, but everything has been put on hold because of the pandemic.

“We were feeling really stuck and didn’t know what to do.

“When we saw another house had been raffled recently, with a family who are using the same relocation agency as us, that was the light we’ve been waiting for.

“It’s a great way to help people get on the property ladder who wouldn’t be able to afford it otherwise.

“The house has been valued a few times at £290,000 to £325,000 so for two pounds, it’s a great deal to whoever wins.”

The raffle is open until 9am on September 30.

But if the home sells before then the new owners can pick up the keys straight away.

Stelios Kounou, owner of raffle competition site Raffall, said: “After recent successful house raffles, we are excited that Natalie chose Raffall to host her own.

“Hopefully we can help her realise her dream of moving to Australia.”

It comes after Claire Reynolds and Ben Binks, both 34, won a £280,000 house in Ossett, West Yorks with a £1 raffle ticket.

It’s owner Dale Tate and his family were also selling up to move to Oz.
