A background actor in LA has caused a stir on social media after a hilarious compilation he made of his work went viral.

Eduardo Zapata has been working as a background actor in California for the past two years and has been featured in an array of productions, from Captain Marvel to a Volkswagon commercial.

In the compilation, which is just under three minutes long and features 32 different clips, Mr Zapata overlays dramatic music with footage of him acting, highlighted with a red circle.

Eduardo Zapata, a background actor living in LA, has created a hilarious compilation video of all of the features he has been in

The video was posted two days ago and has already received more than 508,000 views.

In the clips Mr Zapata speeds up the footage that happens before and after his, usually rather lowly, appearance.

When he comes into view, Mr Zapata dramatically slows down the footage and zooms in on his face which he has circled in red.

Mr Zapata jokingly titled the video ‘Solid evidence that every TV show, movie, and commercial are all in the same cinematic universe (my background extra compilation)’.

And social media users have been inspired by his humorous work.

Mr Zapata edited the three-minute video with dramatic music and red circles to identify whenever he is in shot

As soon as he appears on screen, the video will dramatically slow down and the camera will zoom in on Mr Zapata at a climax of the music

Some have noticed that Mr Zapata was wearing the same orange polo shirt in a lot of the clips and have asked him to create a ‘Where’s Wally’ style game.

He said that for many of his roles he gets asked to bring a selection of eight outfits so it’s not uncommon for him to wear the same outfit for multiple roles.

He is seen wearing his orange polo neck in Schooled, a Volkswagon advert, Modern Family, Peppermint, Silicon Valley and Those Who Can’t.

One social media user joked that Mr Zapata’s range is on par with Daniel Day-Lewis, Gary Oldman, Christian Bale, but he just doesn’t have such big roles.

Some people have noticed that Mr Zapata wears very similar outfits in most of the clips he is in. He says this is because most companies will ask you to bring a set of eight outfits and he usually ends up bringing the same ones
