Ex-royal chef claims Queen ‘has never liked living at Buckingham Palace’
The former royal chef to the Queen, Princess Diana and many other notable members of the Royal Family claims the Queen "never liked" living at Buckingham Palace.
Chef Darren McGrady, 60, spoke out on the Queen's alleged dislike for the London-based property and said that the 96-year-old saw the regal property as "an office" more than a home.
The 60-year-old chef said that it was "no surprise," the Queen chose to move away from Buckingham Palace, lodging now in Windsor Castle as she's "never really liked" living at the cultural landmark.

The ex-royal chef also cited Windsor as a favourite location of his and his former cooking crew, saying the Windsor-based royal residence was "much more relaxed."
McGrady said: "It’s no surprise the Queen has moved to Windsor, she’s never really liked the palace, it’s always been the office to the Queen.
"The Queen would always be whizzing off back to Windsor Castle, she can’t wait to get back there. She loves it there, so it’s no surprise she’s moved there permanently.
"There’d always be a senior chef, a junior chef and about 30 staff that would go to Windsor for the weekend. We worked in the small kitchen, it’s much different, much more relaxed."

Speaking on the reasons he believes the Queen prefers Windsor, McGrady, speaking to Coffee Friends, said: "The Queen can go out, walk the dogs, go out and see the horses in the back garden. For the Queen, it’s always been dogs and horses first.
"That’s her passion, that’s her hobbies. And why shouldn’t she at 96 enjoy that. Let Charles and William take on some of the other engagements, she should just be spending time with the horses and the dogs every day now.
"Her family are all close by too in Windsor."
It is believed that Prince Charles will make Buckingham Palace his main residence when he ascends to the throne, with chef McGrady saying "we don't really know what to expect," of the future King of England.
