Ex-Disney World worker busted for stealing from employee locker room

She’s not the most magical coworker on Earth, authorities say.

A brazen former employee at a Walt Disney World water park snuck into an employee locker room and stole cash, credit cards and other items from staffers, according to an arrest affidavit.

Shariel Agosto, 28, who once worked at the 61-acre Typhoon Lagoon water park in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., was arrested Aug. 1 after a 19-year-old Disney employee reported that her wallet was stolen along with her credit card and gift cards, the Orlando Sentinel reports, citing an Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrest affidavit.

As a former employee there, Agosto knew how to get elude security and gain access to the employee locker room, where she pilfered cash and credit cards to buy gas for her car and food at a restaurant in Orlando, authorities said. She also tried to buy roughly $250 in alcohol with the stolen items, authorities said.

Agosto was working for a third-party vendor at Disney Springs — another outdoor entertainment complex at Walt Disney World – at the time of her arrest, although the affidavit did not specify exactly where.

A message seeking comment from Disney was not immediately returned Tuesday.

A public defender in Orange County representing Agosto — who is now facing charges of unlawful possession of a stolen credit card, petit theft and fraudulent use of credit cards — declined to comment when reached by The Post.
