Dutch pop band called the ‘Breunion Boys’ mocked after releasing ridiculous song ‘Britain Come Back'
A DUTCH boy band has been mercilessly mocked online after they appeared on TV with their pro-European Union song Britain Come Back.
Dubbed the Breunion Boys the five lads have released their single in a bid to get Brexiteers to change their mind about leaving the EU next year.
They now hope to do a tour of the pubs of the UK to spread their message.
Filmmaker Julia Veldman, the mastermind behind the project told Good Morning Britain the band’s music would “change people’s minds” about the outcome of the referendum.
She said: “They are going to change peoples' minds because this is a sound they haven't heard yet. Of course we disagree with the decision.
“But this gut feeling should be answered by the European Union. We are European citizens and we feel responsible to respond.”
Band member Hajo, when asked why he wanted the UK to stay in the EU, said: “I watch BBC almost every day.
“I've watched all the movies, like Love Actually, I feel very passionate about Britain and was planning to live here so I'm involved in that way.”
The video for the song sees the lads perform their dance moves on a Dutch beach while singing along.
The lyrics include: “I cannot believe this is the end (oh no); I still feel your love inside me; I still sing your words.
