Drunk thug punches woman after takeaway staff forget to put cheese on his chips
A drunken reveller went into meltdown when takeaway staff did not put cheese on his chips.
Daniel Kelly, 24, demanded the treat at 2.50am.
When it did not arrive he grabbed a bottle of ketchup and squirted it all over the counter.
And he then punched a female customer who was trying to calm him down.
She suffered a cut on the inside of her mouth and said the experience had left her scared to go out.
Lynn Bickley, prosecuting, said the victim had called into the Charcoal Grill in Derby after a night out with pals and saw Kelly “arguing with staff over cheese on his food”.

She told South Derbyshire magistrates: “This defendant reached over the counter and took a sauce bottle, arguing with the staff about wanting cheese. She told the defendant to calm down. She can’t recall his response.
“A member of staff told the defendant he would get some cheese.’’
Kelly then punched the woman on her lips and delivered a second blow to the left side of her face.
A witness confirmed to police that the bust-up was due to a row over cheese.
The witness said Kelly grabbed a sauce bottle which went “everywhere on the counter” before lashing out with his fists.
Following his arrest he told police he had been out drinking with his partner and pals and consumed “a lot” of alcohol.
Kelly, of Derby, was given a three-month curfew and a 12-month community order after pleading guilty to assault.
