A Toronto school is in hold and secure after a drive-by shooting reportedly took place out front Wednesday afternoon in the city’s north end.

Police said officers responded to a call about a shooting near Firgrove Public school, in the area of Jane Street and Finch Avenue West, just after 3 p.m.

Const. David Hopkinson told Global News that there may be a male shooting victim.

He said a white or silver coloured SUV or minivan was seen fleeing the scene.

Students were in the process of being dismissed for the day, but the school was put into hold and secure.
