Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka posts cute snap with family – but not Melania
Ivanka Trump shared a cute photograph of her family with dad Donald on Christmas Day – but Melania was noticeably absent.
The 39-year-old shared the picture, geotagged at The White House, with her 7.5 million Instagram followers who were mostly delighted to see "The Donald" getting in to the festive spirit.
But not all members of the most powerful family in the world were present. Unless she was the one taking the photo, 50-year-old Melania appeared to have been totally omitted from Ivanka's seasonal tribute.
If it was a snub, she seemed to return the gesture with what she posted on her own social media accounts.
In one glossy photo, she sits next to a huge Christmas tree with her phone in one hand.
She told her fans that she was "tracking Santa" – one of her top Christmas traditions.
She wrote: "The toys have been wrapped & are ready to go! I always enjoy tracking Santa’s trip on Christmas Eve with children & @noradtrackssanta_official as he makes his way around the world!"
The relationship between Ivanka and her stepmother is rumoured to be frosty.
A former friend of Melania's claimed that Ivanka tried to be the First Lady, saying she "impinged on Melania's duties while overstepping her rank and boundaries."
It is believed that both Melania and Donald are celebrating Christmas and New Year at his golf resort in Mar-A-Lago, Palm Springs.

He flew in to the Florida resort on Air Force One on December 23, and has since been pictured playing golf in one of his trademark red Make America Great Again hats.
Melania did show up in a video with her 74-year-old husband where they praised frontline workers and Covid scientists for their "miracle" vaccines.
In the three-minute clip released on Christmas Eve, the couple gave one of their final public messages together while in the White House before Trump will be forced to leave in January.
Melania said: “The president and I want to wish every American a very merry Christmas.
“We are battling a global pandemic that has affected all of us. Yet, through this great challenge, we have been inspired by the kindness and courage of citizens across this country.
“Teachers have worked extraordinary hard to keep our children learning, students have delivered groceries to elderly neighbours, communities have found new ways to stay connected to one another,” the first lady said.
“Courageous first responders, doctors, and nurses have given everything to save lives. Brilliant scientists have developed treatments and vaccines.”
Trump went on to brag that the US is “delivering millions of doses of a safe and effective vaccine that will soon end this terrible pandemic and save millions and millions of lives.”
"We’re grateful for all of the scientists, researchers, manufacturing workers, and service members who have worked tirelessly to make this breakthrough possible," he added.
“It is truly a Christmas miracle."
