Donald Trump accuses Meghan of ‘disrespecting’ Queen and ‘using Prince Harry’

Donald Trump has taken aim at Meghan Markle in a brutal rant, accusing her of 'disrespecting the Queen' and 'using Prince Harry'.

The former US president made the comments in a GB News interview with Nigel Farage which will air tonight (December 1) at 7pm.

Among other things, Trump told the former UKIP leader that he has never been a "fan" of Meghan, and that the Sussexes' actions have "hurt" Her Majesty.

He said: "I'm not a fan of hers. I wasn't from day one. I think Harry has been used horribly and I think someday he will regret it.

"I think Harry's been used and been used terribly. I think it's ruined his relationship with his family, and it hurts the Queen.

"I think she's been very disrespectful to the Queen, who's such a great woman, such a great person, a historic person.

"I think she's very disrespectful to the Royal Family and most importantly to the Queen."

Farage also asked Trump about Meghan using her royal title while acting in a political capacity in the US.

The duchess came under fire in October after using the Sussexes' headed paper to send letter to Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, and Charles Schumer, the Majority Leader of the US Senate, campaigning for paid parental leave.

"She is trying to do things that I think are very inappropriate," Trump responded.

Farage promoted tonight's interview online, telling his 1.6 million Twitter followers last night: "Don't miss it."

However, fans have praised the duchess for speaking up for parents and working families.

Meghan and Harry moved to the US with son Archie last March and welcomed their baby daughter in June.

They named the bundle of joy after the Queen, calling her Lilibet Diana in a moving tribute.

The Daily Star has contacted representatives of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for comment.

The interview won't be the first time that the politician and former The Apprentice host has been critical of Meghan.

Responding to rumours in September that Meghan was considering a presidential campaign in 2024, he told Fox News: "I hope that happens because if that happened then I think I'd have an even stronger feeling towards running. I'm not a fan of hers.

"I've met with the Queen and I think the Queen is a tremendous person and I'm not a fan of Meghan."

Those comments came after Harry and Meghan urged US voters to "reject hate speech, misinformation and online negativity" ahead of the 2020 election, in what was considered a swipe at the then sitting president.

Trump has also previously described Meghan as "nasty" in 2019 because of her past criticisms of him.
