The owner, who is a dog trainer and preaches about dog safety, posted the heartwarming footage on his Instagram page with the caption: ‘The mechanism of an escalator, and to be more specific the combs that exist at the beginning and at the end of each journey, act like a blade and can cause great disasters in the legs of our furry friends.

‘We are professionals and we can do this by taking measures to avoid any risk.

‘I hope you enjoy this lovely scene.’

The pair seem completely in sync during the journey up the escalator, with Tyson’s owner constantly checking to make sure he’s okay.

And his owner seems to have made the right call as vets advise owners to use a lift or stairs where possible to avoid taking dogs on escalators.

One vet said: ‘Most dogs are nervous around an escalator, and escalators and moving sidewalks can be dangerous for dogs.

‘Skip the escalator and opt for an elevator or the stairs instead when you are with your pet, or at the very least, carry your dog on to, off of, and during the escalator ride.’
