- She was jailed for 9 months for assaulting emergency services workers in 2015
- A&E doctor has also previously been found drunk behind the wheel of her car
A female doctor has been suspended for nine months after abusing a police officer – five years after she was jailed for drunkenly attacking eight emergency workers.
Dr Karen Clark, 38, threatened the officer in February in the latest in a string of offences which have landed her in court over the past eight years.
The A&E doctor, from Glasgow, previously attacked four police officers and four nurses in two incidents in the same month. She has also been found drunk behind the wheel of her car and has been convicted of theft.
She has now been suspended by a tribunal following her latest offence – threatening and abusing a police officer.

Dr Clark has in the past shared details of her battle with alcoholism which she says has contributed to her spiralling into trouble.
The medic, who previously worked at Glasgow’s Royal Infirmary A&E department, graduated from the University of Dundee in 2006.
This week, Dr Clark was brought before a Medical Practitioners Tribunal for the fifth time since 2016.
The tribunal heard her previous convictions in Scottish courts were ‘serious and brought the profession into disrepute’.
MPTS tribunal chair William Hoskins said: ‘I have taken into account that since the last review there have been a number of significant developments.
‘I also note, from the papers I have, that in February 2020 Dr Clark pleaded guilty to charges of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner and of assaulting a police constable.’

Suspending her for nine months, Mr Hoskins said Dr Clark will have time to demonstrate improvement.
He added: ‘I am satisfied this period will enable Dr Clark to demonstrate continued constructive engagement with the regulatory process.’
Dr Clark will be sentenced for her latest offence in August.
In April 2015, Dr Clark was jailed for nine months at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court for assaulting emergency services workers.
She was then jailed in 2017 for eight months for breaching community payback orders.
In February 2016, she admitted breaking into a hair salon.
