Desperate search for missing girl, 16, who vanished six days ago during lockdown – The Sun


POLICE are desperately searching for a 16-year-old girl from Derbyshire who vanished six days ago.

Officers said they are “increasingly concerned” about the teenager’s disappearance and are appealing to the public for information.

Sophie Walton, from Pilsley, Derbyshire, was last seen on the afternoon of April 8.

Officers say they have received reports of someone matching her description in nearby Whittington Moor and New Whittington in recent days.

Derbyshire Police have released a description of Sophie in an appeal for information.

A spokesman said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for a teenage girl who has gone missing from Pilsley.”

“She is white, slim, 5ft 6ins tall and has long black hair. She was last seen wearing a white coat, black trousers and white trainers.

“If you know where Sophie is, or you have seen her during your daily exercise outside, please contact us.”

Anyone with information should call 101, quoting reference 1032 of April 8.
