Denver weather: Light snow Monday, sunny days ahead – The Denver Post

Denver is in for a typical spring week: some snow, sun and maybe a 70-degree day.

According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Denver is in for a blustery Monday. Snow is likely to accumulate up to 2 inches, with a high near 41 degrees downtown, and winds will howl up to 23 degrees. Blowing snow could create hazardous travel conditions, the worst expected in the southern Foothills across the Palmer Divide and into the east-central Plains. Wind gusts could reach 50 mph away from the metro, but things should start to clear up late in the afternoon. Denver will dip to 24 degrees Monday night.

Tuesday will stay windy, with gusts up to 30 mph and a high of 46. There’s a 40% chance of snow in the afternoon.

Wednesday will still be breezy, with gusts up to 25 mph. Yet the day will be sunny and start a warming trend as the high reaches 54 degrees.

Forecasters expect days into the high 60s and even the 70s later this week and into the weekend.
