Denver weather: Hot and dry Wednesday in store for Denver
Wednesday’s weather will continue what has been a hot and dry week in Denver.
While no rain is in Wednesday’s forecast for the metro area, northeast and north central Colorado may see heavy precipitation. The National Weather Service has released a hazardous weather outlook for those parts of the state amid concerns for potential flash flooding.
The weather service also has an air quality alert for Douglas, Jefferson, Denver, western Arapahoe, western Adams, Broomfield, Boulder, Larimer and Weld Counties due to high ozone levels.
Denverites can expect heat throughout the day, with a high of 94 degrees being reached in the afternoon.
Mostly sunny conditions with minimal cloud coverage is in store Wednesday.
Temperatures will drop to an overnight low of 65, remain mostly clear while bring a slight breeze.
Though slim, Thursday will be the first day this week with a chance of rain.
Forecasters expect a 10% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms after noon.
Thursday’s forecast calls for a high of 95 with mostly sunny conditions.
Friday will get a bit hotter with an expected high of 96, though rain is slightly more likely with a 20% chance.
