Denver will have it’s last seasonally warm day Wednesday before a cold front hits the area by Thursday.
The high Wednesday is 68 degrees, but the main focus for Wednesday, though, is a Red Flag Warning being issued for Denver and some of the eastern plains due to dry conditions and strongly southerly winds.
Wind gusts could reach up to 26 mph and humidity could drop into the low teens in Denver.
Overnight Wednesday, the low is 32 degrees, but Thursday’s high is only reach 46 degrees as the cold front hits. The snow that had been forecast for Thursday has left the forecast, and Thursday is now expected to be sunny all day.
Some snow is still expected in the mountains north of Interstate 70, though, which could pose some travel issues due to blowing winds in the area.
Thursday’s low in 22 degrees, then Friday is set to be the coldest day of the week with a high of 38 degrees and a low of 21 degrees.
Saturday will warm up slightly to a 53-degree high and a 25-degree low, then Sunday will have a high of 45 degrees.
