Denver road conditions: Wednesday storm makes for slow Thursday morning commute – The Denver Post

Roads around the region are in rough shape after Denver was hit with a winter storm on Wednesday.

While the snow may have stopped falling, the snow already on the ground is creating problems. Plus there is some fog around Colorado that will slightly limit visibility. Many institutions are on delayed starts while cities around the area are on crash alerts.

The Colorado Department of Transportation reports that all major roads around the metro are icy and snow-packed or wet and slushy. Officials warn to give yourself more time and be prepared if you have to drive Thursday or stay home.

Loveland Pass is closed in both directions due to safety concerns.

There are no other significant closures as of 7 a.m. on Thursday just slow drives, check back for more updates.
