Daughter had ‘evil eyes’ before almost hacking her dad’s penis off with scissors

A woman who attempted to cut off her dad's penis with a pair of scissors reportedly had 'evil eyes' before the horrific ordeal.

Darlene Wozniak is facing a major prison sentence and claims it happened during a bipolar episode in 2018.

The daughter, who lives in the town of Dyer, Minnesota, with her dad pleaded guilty but mentally ill to domestic battery.

Despite alleging she was mentally ill at the time of the attack, a doctor found the woman to be competent of standing trial.

The 56-year-old was seen staring at a wall and with "evil eyes" by her brother before launching the assault with a pair of scissors, NW Times reports.

Records state that police arrived at the home to find the victim screaming in pain in a hospital bed set up for him in the living room.

The paper previously reported that the daughter had lunged at the 78-year-old man, hitting his face and body before attacking his penis with scissors causing brutal injuries.

It is understood that the brother had hidden all of the knives in his father's house before going to his own home.

But he had received a call from his father an hour later, saying: "Get over here. She is nuts! She is cutting me!"

When he arrived back at the house the son found his dad covered in blood and called authorities.

The daughter was quickly arrested and reportedly demanded a lawyer.

Herbert Shaps, defence attorney, and Lake County Deputy Prosecutor are due to argue the length of Wozniak's sentence but it is likely to be up to six years.

In exchange for the plea, prosecutors agreed to dismiss a higher Level 3 felony count and a different Level 5 felony count.

Lake Criminal Court records show that Wozniak was found to be mentally competent to stand trial, but a mental health professional concluded she has a serious mental illness.

Wozniak is scheduled for sentencing with Judge Samuel Cappas on July 30.
