A distraught dad has revealed what it was like to watch his son be slaughtered “in 20 seconds" in horror shark attack.
Russian man Vladimir Popov, 23, was torn apart by a tiger shark while at a resort in the city of Hurghada, Egypt, on Thursday (June 8).
Horrified holidaymakers looked on in horror as the young man was shredded by the shark’s teeth, with one witness to the attack claiming that the shark toyed with his body for two hours.

In horrifying footage, one witness can be heard saying “it’s eating his remains now."
Authorities closed off a 46-mile stretch of the Red Sea coastline in response to the rare attack, announcing it would remain off-limits until Sunday (June 11).
Vladimir had yelled “papa save me” to his father, Yuri, as he was dragged under by the shark.
Yury said: “What kind of help can you give?
“This meat grinder happened in 20 seconds, he was just dragged under the water…".
He added: "This is an absolutely ridiculous coincidence, because it is a safe beach.
“There are ships and yachts around. It's never happened there.
“They usually attack on wild beaches.
“It is just some kind of evil fate."

Holiday from hell saw mum fly home with horror hogweed burns that 'melted' her hand
A woman who watched the shocking attack told the Telegram channel Baza: It’s a terrible thing, the remains of this guy are over there. I’m shaking. Right in front of my eyes, the shark ate that guy. I think I need a drink. I feel really bad.”
The tragic victim has been living with his dad in Egypt for several months, but Yuri said his son’s body would be cremated and his ashes returned to Russia.
Shortly after the attack took place, the shark was dragged ashore by boat before people clubbed it to death.
The dead beast was reportedly handed over for research into the causes of its abnormal behaviour.
Researchers also intend to identify whether the shark is related to one that "caused several previous accidents”.

Shark 'bites off woman's leg' as she snorkelled with pal outside resort
The area where the attack occurred is popular with tourists and Egyptians alike.
An eyewitness said: “Children swam [in the area where the shark attacked] very often – there were children's slides.
“All this happened not far from a descent into the sea, next to the ladder, used by everyone who went into the water.
Shark attacks in the region have historically been rare, though in 2022 two women were killed within days of each other in a set of brutal killings by the animal.
According to National Geographic, tiger sharks are second to great whites in attacking humans.
“But because they have a near completely undiscerning palate, they are not likely to swim away after biting a human, as great whites frequently do,” the publication wrote.
