‘Cyclops’ puppy called Kevin has a forever home after being born with one eye

A miracle 'cyclops' puppy has found his forever home after being born with just one eye.

The adorable mutt – dubbed Kevin after the Minions character – was born in a litter of two in Chachoengsao, Thailand.

Now two days old, Kevin is a fit and healthy bottle-fed puppy – and his owner has vowed to keep him as a pet despite the deformity.

Owner Somjai Phummaman, 45, said: "We are wishing that the puppy survives, even though it has a deformity.

"We want to keep him as a pet until he grows up.

''Everybody has been amazed by him and saying that it is lucky sign.

"People said that he looks like the yellow cartoon character with one eye, so we can nicknamed him after that.

"The puppy and mother dog Khainui are both healthy so our family will raise them by ourselves."

Somjai's daughter, Parn, added: "We have taken good care of the puppy so far. He cannot be breastfed the proper way, so we have to hand feed him with the milk bottle."

Villagers are treating Kevin's birth as a sign of good luck – with some even using the day he was born for their lottery numbers.

It is not clear whether his single eye will function properly as it takes two months for a dog's sight to develop fully.

It comes after a dog born with a wonky face and twisted snout found a new home after being adopted by a family who fell in love with her unusual appearance.

Nine-month-old retriever-cross Bethany was one of five puppies rescued from a stray in Romania by the Norwich-based Safe Rescue for Dogs.

The pup now lives with couple Sarah Richards and Matt Lawrence, and their children in Great Ryburgh, near Fakenham in Norfolk.
