Copies of Prince Harry’s Spare have been covered in Afghan blood and put on display in a shop in Windsor, with the plan to sell them for a four-figure price tag days before King Charles’ coronation.

Andrei Molodkin, an Russian anti-war artist, has created the display in protest of the Duke of Sussex’s candid comments about his kill count in Afghanistan.

In his memoir Harry wrote: “While in the heat and fog of combat, I didn’t think of those 25 as people. You can’t kill people if you think of them as people.

"You can’t really harm people if you think of them as people. They were chess pieces removed from the board, Bads taken away before they could kill Goods.”

The comments received backlash, including criticism from others in the military.

In a statement about the display, which has been called ‘Blood Money’, Molodkin said: “Prince Harry boasts of killing Taliban like they’re baddies in a video game, ‘otherising’ human life then cashing in on the sorry tale to sell books about his drug bingeing, sexual exploits and killing conquests.”

He will be selling 25 copies, according to Sky News.

The Afghan blood covering the books was donated to the artist, and they will be put on sell at a/political in Kennington, London, on 2nd May, for £8,000 each.

Money raised from the book sales will be donated to Afghan charities who have been helping civilians affected by the conflict.

The books are the second piece of art Molodkin has made to object to Harry’s comments.

He also recently projected a sculpture filled with blood onto St. Paul’s Cathedral in London.

Molodkin has worked on other protest projects such as creating a sculpture of the White House filled with the radio-active blood of Japanese men affected by the atomic bombs.

He also filled a glass portrait of Vladimir Putin with the blood of Ukrainian soldiers and live streamed it in Moscow.

While he filled a World Cup trophy replica with crude oil to object to Qatar hosting the World Cup last year.
