Co-op starts selling Easter eggs 3 days after Christmas and people are not happy

A major Brit supermarket is already selling Easter eggs just three days after Christmas.

A stunned shopper has snapped a Co-op store with its shelves lined with Easter Eggs on December 28.

The store in Cottingham, East Riding of Yorkshire can clearly be seen stocking chocolate eggs such as Cadbury’s mini-eggs, Creme Eggs and Smarties eggs.

This is despite Easter being nearly four months away, taking place on April 12 in 2020.

Some people have already reacted angrily on Facebook, reports Hull Live .

One person reacted to the discovery at the store in Crescent Street as: "Would you believe it. Co-op selling Easter eggs already!"

Another social media user said: "What is wrong with all retail companies? Please let us enjoy Christmas, I think it is GREED with them."

The pictures show that Cadbury's Buttons Eggs are on sale for £3.49 while you can grab a Smarties Egg for £1.70.

Co-op is not the first supermarket to be stocking Easter eggs long before the occasion this time, though.

Discount store B&M was seen offering Easter chocolates earlier this month.

One confused shopper spotted Cadbury's Mini Eggs, Galaxy Enchanted Eggs and Kit Kat chocolate bunnies on sale in B&M's Sealand Road branch in Chester.

Hot cross buns have also been seen available at Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsbury’s.
