China blocks British flight back from Wuhan with 200 passengers stranded
China has delayed an evacuation flight out of Wuhan that would have brought 200 Brits back home.
The passengers instead remain stranded in the epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak, with the plane no longer set to leave tomorrow.
Chinese officials have reportedly not yet granted permission for the chartered flight to depart.
A Foreign Office spokeswoman said: "We are doing everything we can to get British people in Wuhan safely back to the UK.
"A number of countries' flights have been unable to take off as planned.
"We continue working urgently to organise a flight to the UK as soon as possible.
