Check the coronavirus death rate in your area as fatalities increase rapidly
Thousands of people have died from coronavirus in the UK – and hundreds of thousands have tested positive.
On April 21, 1,224 deaths were recorded in the UK – which is the highest total in a single day since the outbreak began.
But deaths from coronavirus began to decline after that, but we are now seeing an increase again.
After a dip in the death rates, it has now increased for the second week in a run.
Death rates in England and Wales have now risen to more than 100 after a two-week dip, according to The Office for National Statistics.
A total of 139 deaths in the week ending September 18, where “novel coronavirus” was mentioned in treatment, up from 99 the previous week.
