Police have launched an investigation following a “brazen broad daylight” knife attack on a 16-year-old boy in London.

At around 2.45pm on Thursday, October 1, the victim was attacked by four men who jumped out of a blue Volkswagen Passat car in Richmond Road, Ilford, in the area of east London.

One of the suspects was armed with a knife, and after jumping out of the vehicle he stabbed the boy in the arm.

The gang then fled the scene in the car.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended, and the teenager was taken to hospital for treatment before being discharged, MyLondon reports.

Met Police is now appealing to the public to help identify a group of males.

CCTV stills released on Sunday, November 15, show two of the four males who are of interest in Met Police's continuing investigation.

The two separate CCTV images both show the men wearing black as they walk down a street.

Detective Constable Charlotte Joseph from the Met Police's East Area Command Unit said: "This was a brazen attack carried out in broad daylight in the middle of a busy street.

"Those involved are clearly dangerous individuals who need to be apprehended.

"I would ask anyone who recognises the two males in the images, or who has information that could identify the others involved to contact police immediately."

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD3895/1Oct. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
