CBS promotes Diana Miller to produce ‘CBS This Morning’
CBS said Thursday it has promoted Diana Miller to executive producer of “CBS This Morning.”
The Post first reported late last month that Miller, 38, was expected to grab the top job running the show.
Miller, who earlier in her career worked for Anderson Cooper at CNN, has been with “CBS This Morning” since 2014 and most recently held the post of senior broadcast producer.
Miller fills the EP spot that was vacated by Ryan Kadro, who decamped for Quibi, the video start up co-founded by Hollywood mogul Jeffrey Katzenberg.
Miller’s promotion comes as newly minted CBS News president Susan Zirinsky is looking at a major overhaul of the morning show and “CBS Evening News.”
“Diana is exceptionally positioned for this role,” said Zirinsky. “She’s an experienced journalist and collaborative leader. Her editorial vision, innovative ideas and ability to execute have had a positive impact on the broadcast for years and will help take the show into the future.”
Zirinsky is expected to make more changes in the coming weeks that may include moving “CBS This Morning” co-anchor Norah O’Donnell to “CBS Evening News” to replace anchor Jeff Glor.
