Captured Russian soldier sobs down phone to mum saying Putin has ‘destroyed Ukrainian nurseries and maternity wards’

A CAPTURED Russian soldier has been caught sobbing down the phone to his mum, telling her Vladimir Putin's forces had destroyed Ukrainian nurseries and maternity wards.

The shaken trooper is seen begging his mum to get word out of the attacks.

The sobbing youngster cradles himself as he tells his mum over what appears to be FaceTime: "Mum, our troops destroyed hospitals, Kindergartens, maternity wards.

"Life has been peaceful here before our President started all of this."

"I got you," his crying mum responds. "I love you so much."

The Russian private then begs his mum to tell "as many people as possible" about the attacks.

It comes as Putin's demoralised and disillusioned troops flee war in Ukraine and surrender without a fight, reports claim.

Russian soldier 'in tears as Ukrainian locals feed him & help call his mum'

Footage has emerged of captured Russian soldiers crying as they claim they had no idea what to expect in Ukraine.

Intercepted radio messages indicate troops are disobeying orders from Moscow to shell Ukrainian towns, and complaining about running out of food and fuel.

Another frightened soldier was recorded breaking down in tears as Ukrainians fed him and helped contact his family.

He was seen gulping down a cup of tea and a pasty as he is calmed by a woman who offers to call his mum.

The young prisoner of war then blows kisses as his mother answers and bursts into tears.

Russia has been accused of bombing a nursery in eastern Ukraine.

Drone footage taken in Okhtyrka appears to show the Sunshine nursery with a shell explosion outside.

Bodies of at least two adults appear to be lying outside in pools of blood as with other people crouched alongside them.

The front of the building – which has a sand pit, play area and slide in the yard – appears to be blown out with shutters scattered the ground.
