Burger King customer, 31, slams fast food chain after finding restaurant toilet was so disgusting that fungi was growing in it

A Burger King customer was shocked after taking photos of ‘fungus’ growing in a ladies’ toilet at one of its restaurants.
Natalie Singleton, 31, stopped off at the fast-food chain in Sandfields, Port Talbot, Wales on her way to work on Thursday.
However, when she went inside she was shocked by what she discovered.
She said: ‘I was calling in to use the toilets on my way to work, it was the left side cubicle in the women’s toilets as you walk in, the furthest one away from the door.
‘I have never seen a toilet so dirty, there was tissue everywhere, the smell was terrible and to top it off fungi was growing in the cubicles, I have never seen anything like it.
‘I was shocked and I couldn’t believe that a franchise as big as Burger king would have such poor health and hygiene conditions,’ she said.

She took photos of what appeared to be fungi growing in a ladies’ toilet.
The 31-year-old said she had reported the incident to Neath Port Talbot Council’s environmental health department.
She added: ‘I tried to tell a member of staff and they said they would look into it.

‘It’s put me off going there in the future, I will never eat or use the restroom there again.’
The images were posted to Facebook group, Neath Constituency Voice for Everyone, with many people commenting on the pictures calling the toilets ‘disgusting’ and ‘awful’.
A photo taken on Friday afternoon appears to show that the toilets have now been cleaned.
The 31-year-old said she had reported the incident to Neath Port Talbot Council’s environmental health department. The customer had called in to use the toilets on her way to work
A spokeswoman for Burger King said: ‘Hygiene is a top priority at Burger King UK restaurants.
‘We are working with the franchisee who independently owns and operates this restaurant location to investigate this matter, and appropriate action will be taken to ensure that our hygiene standards are maintained.’
Neath Port Talbot Council has also confirmed it is investigating.
A spokesman for the council said: ‘We were notified [on Friday] and are currently investigating.’
