British actress ‘distraught’ over claims she was in paedo Jeffrey Epstein’s inner circle – The Sun
A BRITISH actress is said to be “distraught” over claims she was part of paedo Jeffrey Epstein's inner circle.
Emmy Tayler, now 44, was an assistant for Epstein’s alleged British ‘madam’ Ghislaine Maxwell and was a regular on his private jet.
US prosecutors are now probing Maxwell and Epstein’s “gang” of female fixers amid claims they recruited girls for the paedo’s global child sex ring.
In court papers unsealed by a US court, Tayler was named repeatedly as being close to Maxwell and was even described as the socialite’s “slave”.
One of Epstein’s alleged victims, Johanna Sjoberg, said Tayler showed her how to massage the disgraced financier at his Florida mansion, court documents show.
Tayler’s brother-in-law Stephen Ongpin told the Daily Mirror that she is “shocked” by the claims.
“She’s been accused of things which are completely shocking to her,” he said.
“She worked for Ghislaine as a PA but that was in 2001. She’s distraught by the whole thing.”
Earlier this month it was reported that US prosecutors want to speak to Tayler after witnesses claimed she was part of Epstein’s inner circle.
Virginia Giuffre, the banker’s most high profile accuser, told MailOnline that she was given an apartment in the same building as Tayler.
She said: “A British girl, Emmy Tayler, was very close to Ghislaine. Her job was to run errands for Ghislaine and do paperwork.
“Emmy wasn’t really Jeffrey’s type, being voluptuous and older. Jeffrey liked girls like me, with ballerina figures.
“Emmy and I were very close but I didn’t tell her much about my background and she didn’t tell me much about hers.
“Ghislaine promised her a great lifestyle, like she’d promised me. She was given an apartment in the same New York building as me.”
Flight logs show Tayler regularly travelled on Epstein’s private jet, nicknamed the Lolita Express, along with celebs such as Prince Andrew, it has been reported.
The 44-year-old, who is the daughter of an Oxford professor, has moved back to Britain and now works as a voiceover artist.
There is no suggestion that Tayler knew of or was complicit in any of Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes.
Ever since Epstein’s suicide earlier this month, his network of accused co-conspirators have come under increased scrutiny in a series of lawsuits.
Prosecutors believe Epstein relied on his loyal “gang” of women to lure girls into his orbit and manage their encounters with him, the New York Times reports.
Maxwell was described in a 2017 lawsuit as the "highest-ranking employee" of Epstein's alleged sex trafficking enterprise.
In addition to Maxwell, prosecutors in New York are thought to be looking into Sarah Kellen, Lesley Groff, Adriana Ross, Nadia Marcinkova and Haley Robson.
Four of those women, excluding Robson, have not been prosecution despite being identified in court papers as “potential conspirators”.
When prosecutors gave Epstein a sweetheart plea deal in 2007, Kellen, Groff, Ross and Marcinkova were not charged.
The paedo is thought to have secured immunity for the four women as part of the agreement – despite their alleged involvement in recruiting dozens of underage girls for abuse.
That deal allowed Epstein to plead guilty to state charges and to spend 13 months in a county jail rather than face a federal sex-trafficking indictment.
However the four women may still be subject to criminal charges in Manhattan.
