A BRITISH woman found dead in a Swiss hotel room was killed in a sex game gone wrong, her boyfriend has told police.

Anna Florence Reed, 22, was discovered lifeless in the bathroom on Tuesday at 7am hours after a violent row with her 29-year-old lover, it was claimed.

Worried guests at the hotel in Locarno, southern Switzerland, had alerted staff and the night porter was sent to the room to calm down the situation after shouting and screaming was heard.

But it has since been reported that her boyfriend, who is said to live in Zurich, had confessed to killing her by accident during an erotic game.

A post-mortem examination confirmed that Anna suffocated to death while she had small cuts and fractures on her body, reports local media.

Police said a 29-year-old German had been arrested and a prosecutor was investigating a charge of intentional murder.

The couple arrived at the £200-a-night La Palma au Lac beside Lake Maggiore in Locarno on Monday.

SUFFOCATED TO DEATH

The recently refurbished 100-year-old hotel is renowned as the location for the Locarno Film Festival.

But a hotel employee said: “There was a huge row between the couple the night before the woman was found dead.

"Other guests complained and the night porter had to go up and calm the situation down.”

Paramedics were called to the hotel the following morning but Anna was declared dead at the scene.

Initially, no signs of violence were found but a post-mortem examination yesterday found she had suffocated.

Anna, who wrote on social media under the handle Berlin Baby, had posted several photographs of herself in exotic locations in recent months.

In a statement, Swiss police said: “A 29-year-old German man has been arrested and a file has been sent to the local prosecutor with an allegation of pre-intentional homicide.”

The man was being held in a prison at nearby Farera.
