Brit expat’s body found crushed upside down between wall and house in Thailand

A British man's body has been found 'bent double' trapped between two walls in Thailand.

Phuket locals made the horrific discovery on Monday morning when they heard a mobile phone ringing.

The body of expat Simon Ball, 56, was discovered jammed into a narrow space between a stone wall, a water pump and a house.

He was upside down with his chin forced into his chest.

It's believed he may have fallen from the roof of his home and gotten trapped in the strange position, and was unable to breathe properly or free himself.

Rescue teams were unable to revive him. His body had several scratches and bruises, including on the back of his head, which may have been sustained in the fall.

Mr Ball was wearing glasses and a watch and was carrying a shopping bag containing a packet of instant noodles.

"There was no CCTV that shows the area but the examination results suggest that he died from falling," Police Colonel Somkid Boonrat said.

"We will report this incident to the British embassy and wait in case they request any further investigation."

His body was taken to Patong Hospital where further examinations will be carried out.

The Foreign Office confirmed to Daily Star Online that they are aware of the incident.

"We are supporting the family of a British man following his death in Phuket, and are in contact with Thai authorities," a spokesperson said.
