Police have appealed to anyone who was at the playground earlier as they might be able to help track down the perpetrator.

Thankfully, the boy’s wounds were dressed at hospital, and he was allowed to return home.

Ryszard Odrzywolek, director of the Pediatric Hospital in Bielsko-Biala, told reporters: “This is a first- or second-degree burn.

“The prognosis is good.”
