Boy, 14, found wandering streets claims he's missing child who vanished in 2011

A teenager found covered in bruises has said he is a boy who vanished seven years ago.

The child, 14, told a passerby that he is Timmothy Pitzen who went missing in May 2011 when he was six in Aurora, Illinois.

He told the Good Samaritan who found him 330 miles away in Cincinnati, Ohio, that he had been held by kidnappers since then.

A woman who met him said he was ‘very agitated and scared’ after telling her he escaped from a nearby Red Roof Inn hotel.

And Timmothy’s grandfather Alana Anderson said she was ‘praying’ that the boy’s identity would end up checking out.

After being dropped off at school by his father, Timmothy was picked up that evening by his mother, Amy Fry-Pitzen, 43.

She took Timmothy on a three day vacation, including trips to the zoo and several water parks, before checking into a motel and killing herself.

A note found afterwards claimed the then six year-old was safe in the care of others, and added ‘You’ll never find him.’
