Boy, 14, allegedly carjacked and sexually assaulted 87-year-old woman

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested over allegedly carjacking and sexually assaulting a 87-year-old woman at knifepoint in the United States.

The suspect reportedly forced the victim to give up her car but not before he forced the woman inside the vehicle to sexually assault her, according to police.

The incident occurred close to the Waukesha Public Library in Wisconsin on November 30.

According to Waukesha police, officers found he elderly woman and she told them she was "robbed and someone took her car."

Police recovered the vehicle shortly after the incident and found the suspect matching the victim’s description.

The suspect ran away and police had to begin a chase, which led to Les Paul Middle School being temporarily placed on lockdown due to caution over the alleged weapon.

Once apprehended with further incident, the suspect was taken into custody where it was discovered he was only 14-years-old.

The juvenile had been in a detention facility since the arrest while the case has been referred to the District Attorney's Office.

According to police, a referral has been made for the case to be heard at an adult court.

The suspect cannot be named due to his age but this could change if the case is moved to an adult court.

According to local site TMJ4, Milwaukee Common Council President Cavalier Johnson said: "This afternoon, I learned of an incident that occurred in Waukesha County on November 30 where a member of my extended family is accused of a horrific crime. I am saddened and troubled by this news."

He continued:. "First and foremost, my heartfelt prayers go out to the victim and her family. No one should ever have to deal with what she is going through. I hope and pray for her full healing and recovery. If what is alleged is found to be true, the accused should absolutely be held accountable for these actions. No family deserves to endure what this family and this victim are going through, and I am praying for healing and recovery for all concerned."

The suspect was a Waukesha high school student but has been removed following the incident.
