Moment brave cop takes down Nashville school shooter with precision shots before colleague finishes her off on the floor: Police release six minutes of hellish bodycam footage

  • The footage show cops trying to find Hale after rushing to the Covenant School
  • She was on the second floor, and engaged in a gunfight in a desperate bid to die
  • Hale was immediately struck down, but had already murdered six people

Nashville Police have this morning released bodycam footage from yesterday’s school shooting which left six people dead, including three nine-year-old children.

The footage shows heroic police officer Rex Englebert taking shooter Audrey Hale out within five minutes of arriving at the school, and 14 minutes after the first 911 call came in.

Hale was standing in front of a large window on a second floor atrium of The Covenant School by the time police entered the building.

When they arrived at the scene, a woman standing outside the school directed the officers on where to go.

A panicked male staff member was seen leaning on a tree. He handed Englebert the key he needed to gain access to the school.

After shooting her dead, the officers approached Hale. Her weapons are clearly shown, along with what appears to be an armored vest

Hale was born female but had recently begun using he/him pronouns and the name ‘Aiden’

One by one, the cops search classrooms looking for the shooter, before climbing a stairwell to the second floor.

That is where they located her in an atrium, standing in front of a large window. She was determined to die and fired at the cops, but was immediately struck down.

Englebert fired the first four shots using his service rifle. Upon approach, Officer Michael Collazo, fired another four shots from his weapon.

By the time police arrived, Hale had already shot three students and three teachers.

The transgender shooter – who was born female but often went by ‘Aiden’ and used ‘he/him’ pronouns – harbored a ‘resentment’ about having to attend the school as a child herself.

She shot and killed head teacher Katherine Koonce in the hallway in an ‘assassination’ style killing, in addition to shooting church custodian Mike Hill and substitute teacher Cynthia Peak.

Cops arrived to find a panicked woman outside the school and a male standing beside a tree. The woman told them: ‘They’re upstairs!’

The officers are shown arriving at the school shortly before 10.25am yesterday morning

Five officers responded immediately. They shot and killed Hale within 14 minutes of the first 911 call

Hale also murdered three nine-year-old students; Hallie Scraggs, William Kinney and Evelyn Dieckhaus.

It’s unclear whether she targeted those children or their class.

Before driving to the school, she messaged a friend on Instagram telling them: ‘I’m planning to die today. THIS IS NOT A JOKE!!!

‘You’ll probably hear about me on the news after I die.

‘This is my last goodbye. I love you. ‘See you again in another life.’

‘Audrey (Aiden)’.

Before traveling to the school, the killer sent a haunting final message to Averianna Patton on Instagram

Patton immediately called the cops to report the messages but it was already too late. By the time she called, Audrey had begun shooting children at the small, church school
